Walking in a Lion’s footsteps in Zambia

Before starting at Sanctuary Retreats I always thought that a safari was in a 4×4 or mini-van – indeed – the way I went on my safari back in 2007!  However, coming to work for a luxury safari operator changed that. Not only do they offer incredible safari lodges and ‘glamping‘, but, as of 2011, you can also go on a walking safari, where the vehicles will get you in to the remote part of Zambia’s South Luangwa, but after that – you see the animals on foot – in the company of several guides of course.  Literally, you can walk in a lion or elephant’s footsteps.  Read the full post on travel blog Traveling Canucks.
